What a Mess Camp
From July 17 to 21, 2026, a children’s camp called “What a Mess” was held at Living Stones Church in Sacramento.
The camp was attended by 102 children and nearly 60 volunteers, including ministry workers, teachers, cooks, security staff, the sports team, and the crafts team.
For several years now, Vova and Tanya Chernev have been organizing the camp and faithfully serving in children’s ministry. Thanks to their work and the help of the entire team, the camp was well organized and joyful. Ministry workers from our church also participated in the camp.
During these five days, the children heard a lot of God’s Word. Important topics were discussed, including the rich young ruler, the prodigal son, as well as the fact that each of us needs to deal with our own “mess.” The children learned that this mess began back in the Garden of Eden with the disobedience of Adam and Eve. In addition to Bible study, there were many fun games and active activities.
The camp was a blessed and successful time. We are wholeheartedly grateful to God for His protection and care throughout all the days. The Lord kept all the children and adults safe.
A big thank you to Vova and Tanya Chernev, as well as to all the volunteers, for their faithful and selfless service!
Praise God for His mercy toward His children!
Alina Chernev
