A Time for Everything

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Grace Avenue Bible Church hosted a women’s breakfast that brought together more than 60 women of different ages. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, participants enjoyed a morning of fellowship, prayer, worship, reflection on God’s Word, and creativity.

The theme of the gathering came from Ecclesiastes: “A Time for Everything.” Guest speaker Vita Zhukova, a women’s Bible study leader and author of the blog “The Undespairing Housewife,” invited participants to reflect on the different seasons of life and how to learn to trust God in each one.

Success and prosperity, leadership and service, rejection and loneliness, suffering, stillness, and joy—each season brings its own challenges and opportunities for spiritual growth. Vita emphasized that these seasons do not always follow one another in order. Sometimes they overlap, and a person may experience joy in one area of life while facing difficulties in another.

The central message was that every season has a purpose. We are called to rejoice in times of well-being and to recognize God’s care during periods of waiting, uncertainty, and trials. Change is a natural part of life, and each new stage can provide an opportunity to strengthen our faith, grow spiritually, and deepen our trust in the Lord. The speaker placed particular emphasis on thanking God in every circumstance.

The gathering featured a full and varied program. The morning began with welcoming guests and enjoying conversation over coffee. Participants then joined in prayer and shared a delicious, nutritious breakfast. Worshiping together fostered a sense of unity and prepared hearts to reflect on God’s Word.

Following the message, participants enjoyed a hands-on workshop making ceramic trivets. Each woman had the opportunity to express her creativity, make something beautiful and practical, and enjoy relaxed conversation with others.

Drawings for gifts and gift certificates added to the enjoyment of the morning. As the gathering drew to a close, thanks were expressed to the organizers, ministry workers, guest speaker, and everyone who had contributed time and effort to preparing this special event. The meeting concluded with a shared prayer and a blessing.

The women’s breakfast offered a welcome break from daily responsibilities, along with spiritual encouragement, new friendships, heartfelt conversations, and stronger bonds among sisters in Christ.

Participants left with an important reminder: whatever season of life we are going through, God remains faithful. He has a time for everything, and at every stage we can learn to trust Him, grow in faith, and maintain a thankful heart.
