Baptism Day at New Hope Baptist Church
August 23 was a special and joyful day at New Hope Baptist Church—a day of baptism. Five people publicly professed their faith in Christ and took this important step of faith.
It was especially encouraging to see the diversity among those who had decided to follow Christ. They included both young people and members of the older generation, but they were united by one desire—to dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ. The youngest sister was 18 years old, while the oldest brother was 87.
Pastor Anatoliy Golodnyak conducted the baptism, and the entire church prayerfully and joyfully shared this special moment with those being baptized. For each of them, this day became a testimony to a personal decision—to leave their former life behind and follow Christ. Baptism is more than a church tradition. It is a public profession of faith, symbolizing death to the old life and birth into a new life in Christ.
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4, NKJV).
Praise God for these five lives dedicated to Christ! May the Lord strengthen each of them in faith, guide them along their new path, and help them bear witness to His love and grace before others.
