Five Years of God’s Faithfulness
In July of this year, Bellevue Bible Church gratefully celebrated five years of God’s faithfulness, reflecting on the path along which the Lord has led us and renewing our commitment to serve Him with faith, humility, and devotion.
God’s Guidance Throughout the Past Five Years
Looking back, we can see the Lord’s hand especially clearly at every stage of our journey. Five years ago, God established His church in our city, called us to ministry, and allowed us to become instruments in spreading the great message of the Gospel. Everything accomplished during these years was made possible not by our own strength or abilities, but by His grace.
The Lord went before us, revealing each next step and guiding the church. He taught us to trust Him, persevere through difficulties, grow in faith, and continue doing what He called us to do. We are grateful for the strength He provided, for the people He brought to us, and for every opportunity to serve Him.
Guests and Spiritual Instruction
On the day of the celebration, we were joined by Pavel Ivanovich Lyutin, pastor of Word of Truth Church in Federal Way, Washington, together with his wife and a group of musicians.
Pavel Ivanovich preached a message titled, “Beware of Tearing Down What God Is Building and Building What God Is Tearing Down.” It was a timely reminder to approach God’s work with reverence and carefully examine what we are building through our lives and ministry.
A Testimony Through Baptism
Shortly before the church’s fifth-anniversary celebration, a baptism was held in which three people publicly testified to their faith in Christ and their belonging to Him. It was especially moving that two of them came from Muslim countries: God’s grace saved them and brought them to faith in Jesus Christ.
For one of them, this decision was particularly difficult: because of his faith in Christ, some of his close relatives stopped communicating with him. Nevertheless, he continues to follow the Lord. His example became a powerful testimony to us of how precious Christ becomes to a person who truly comes to know Him.
For our church, this was a true celebration and a source of great spiritual joy. Once again, we saw that the Lord continues to save people and, as Scripture says, “add to the church those who are being saved.”
Gratitude and a Prayer Request
We would like to share this joy with you and thank you for your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for our church: that the Lord would fill us with Himself, help us remain faithful to His Word, grow in love and unity, and lead us forward along the path He has prepared for us.
Five years are now behind us. We look back with gratitude and forward with faith, knowing that the Lord, who has faithfully led us to this day, will remain faithful in the years ahead.
“Thus far the Lord has helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12).
Glory be to God for His Church, for His grace, and for every person He brings to Christ!
