Preserving History and Testifying to God’s Work
The Video Ministry of the Pacific Coast Slavic Baptist Association is about much more than cameras, lighting, sound, and editing. It is an important part of the Association’s informational and historical ministry, with the purpose of preserving a record of church life, telling the story of God’s work, and highlighting the people who have dedicated themselves to serving the Lord.
Conferences, conventions, meetings, sermons, testimonies, and other church events eventually become part of history. Through photography and video recording, the memory of these events can be preserved for future generations. These materials capture not only the events themselves, but also the faces of the people, the atmosphere of fellowship, the development of various ministries, and the history of the churches of the Pacific Coast Slavic Baptist Association.
This work takes on special significance in light of the words of Scripture:
“We have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done” (Psalm 78:3–4).
Creating a high-quality video and photo archive helps preserve testimonies of God’s work not only for those living today, but also for those who will come after us.
Throughout the year, the Video Ministry covered various church events and ministries, conducted interviews with pastors and ministry leaders, recorded and edited sermons, and produced informational and promotional videos for upcoming events.
Photography remained another important area of the ministry. Church events were photographed, and the images were then selected and processed. These materials are gradually becoming part of the growing historical archive of the Pacific Coast Slavic Baptist Association.
Looking ahead, the Video Ministry plans to continue developing this area of service by sharing more stories about the life and ministries of the Association’s churches, covering significant events, and systematically expanding its video and photo archive.
In this way, the Video Ministry serves not only as a modern tool for communication but also as a means of preserving history. What is news or an event in the life of the church today will, in time, become a testimony of God’s work for future generations.
May every preserved photo, video, and recording bear witness to God’s faithfulness, His works, and the service of His people.
