Gennadiy Borisovich Gavelovskiy was born in a Christian family on April 9, 1966 at Nicolaev, Ukraine to Ludmila and Boris Gavelovskiy. He repented in February of 1980 and was baptized in 1983 in the Grace of God Church in Nicolaev. From 1982 he served as a conductor of a youth choir and a youth leader, and from 1987 as a conductor of the main church choir.
In 1990 he was ordained as an evangelist. At first, he served in church missions, and in 2000 a new church was established. From 2001 he was responsible for the printing and distribution of “Our Days” newspaper in Ukraine and countries of Commonwealth of Independent States (СНГ). In 2008, Gennadiy Borisovich was ordained as the pastor of the church.
In 2011 he immigrated to the U.S. with his family. In 2013, he was elected as the head pastor of New Hope Church of Rancho Cordova.
He and his wife have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons and one granddaughter.
