This past Christmas season, our church used this opportunity to reach out to our surrounding community and host a Christmas Bingo Night. Few weeks in advance, we announced via church website, Instagram, and a sign banner on the church property to ensure that people are aware of the event. One week prior, our youth passed around flyers to the neighborhood inviting them personally. Our purpose was to create a community- friendly event and to invite those who may not otherwise come to church.
Our evening contained several rounds of bingo games with prizes for everyone who played. Our youth participated in serving hot chocolate, passing out snacks, managing the prize table, and calling out and writing bingo numbers. Everyone who attended went home with a gift containing the Gospel of Mark and candy.
We look forward to the 2023 year with much more events planned for our church family and our surrounding community.
