We congratulate Igor Dronov in his appointment to serve as the head pastor of Bryte Church. We wish him wisdom and abundance of God’s blessings in leading such a numerous, and active church which has a 94-year ministry experience, and established over forty ministries in their service to almost two thousand members.
Igor Dronov was born in Georgia in 1966. In 1971, his family moved to Ukraine, and in 1979, Igor repented at the ECB church in Kherson. He was baptized in 1983. From 1991 to 1995, he studied at the Odessa Seminary and participated in planting a new church. After finishing his studies, he was invited to be a part of the foundation and serving the Theological Seminary in Kiev and so he moved there. In the fall of 1995, he was ordained as an evangelist and became a pastor of the church in Makarov, Kiev region.
In 1997, he moved with his family to Texas to continue his studies. In 2001 he finished the Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM), and then returned to Kiev, and continued to teach at the seminary. In 2001, he agreed to serve at The Grace Church in Kiev and was ordained as a pastor.
In 2004, he moved with his family to Sacramento and became a member of Bryte church. From 2005 to 2008, he was serving as a pastor of the International Ministry at Arcade church. From 2009 to 2010, he studied as the UC Davis to become a chaplain (CPE, Pastoral Care). He and his wife Svetlana have three adult children.
In April 2022, Igor Dronov was appointed as the head pastor at Bryte church. Prior to accepting the new role, he took an active part in church service, was responsible for the English services, did personal discipleship and crisis counseling of families, as well as getting involved in the local city projects.
“My wife and I have prayed about this decision for a long time, and we see that the Lord is leading us every step of the way. The entire church supported and blessed us for ministry. It was good to receive the counsel of the Association’s President, Ivan Mileyev, and brother Peter Yanes who is a representative of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our church has a wonderful pastoral team which consists of young and experienced pastors. That is why it is a great joy to do God’s work in establishing and strengthening the vision and strategies of our church, which was established by the generations of pastors before me”, said Pastor Igor Dronov.
