Embrace a Street Child, EASC, Kenya
Our Team:
- Alex Krupin is the President/Founder of Embrace a Street Child Kenya Center (EASC). He lives in Canada, where he is a Pastor of a local church.
- Palina and Ioann (John) Sterenchuk are the long-term missionary family in Kenya. Palina is originally from Canada. John is from Ukraine.
- Toma Tsvirinko is an intermediate/long term missionary in Kenya. She is from Sacramento and is a member at Bryte Church.
- Tim Tyannikov is on the board of directors for EASC. He lives in Sacramento and is a member at Bryte Church.
- Greg Tovmassian is on the board of directors for EASC. He lives in Sacramento and is a member at Bryte Church.
- David Shakhunov is the President/Founder of Embrace the World (ETW), which is a US based non-profit organization that helps make sure all US based donations for EASC are transferred to Kenya on a monthly basis. David also lives in Sacramento and is a member at Bryte Church.
WHAT THE MINISTRY IS ABOUT:
Embrace a Street Child exists for God to redeem street children through the Good News of Jesus Christ and to rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate them into their family and community.
We RESCUE street children below 16 years old from a street life of addiction, abuse, and hopelessness by inviting them to stay at our center.
We REHABILITATE them through a variety of programs including: counselling, Bible lessons, remedial academic work, sports, crafts and introduction to useful life/vocational skills. Their basic needs of food, shelter, clothes, medical care and hygiene are met at the center.
We REINTEGRATE the children back into their families and communities. Through ongoing follow-ups, we empower them with the physical, spiritual and emotional tools they need to ensure long term success.
We share the good news of the Gospel through which God can REDEEM and give freedom, healing, and restoration. We pray for each child to experience the love of God through the impact of our ministry.

- For God’s wisdom to guide and provide direction to all involved in managing the center.
- For the boys at home and at the center, that they may continue to see God’s faithfulness despite the many challenges they face.
