This is an unforgettable experience when people expresses their desire to give their life to God and dedicate themselves to follow Him, and to be baptized!
On Sunday, February 4, The Cornerstone Church had baptism service for 12 people from among the new immigrants. They started to learn about faith, Christ, and Bible, only after arriving to the U.S., said “Yes” to Jesus, and decided to follow Jesus. Since the church was planted 10 months ago, this is the third baptism group! It started with 4 people, but 2 weeks before the baptism, one more family joined, and 4 days before the baptism, there was yet another one. Finally, four more people repented on the baptism day who were baptized on the spot just like in the apostolic times! That is how God is blessing the church threefold! Those who were baptized included the entire households, husbands and wives, fathers, and children!
Everyone who was baptized openly shared their testimony of their salvation: how they learned about the living God, about God who is not desiring to punish them, but about a loving God, who isn’t looking for slaves, but for children. They talked about how they found God in Christ, and how despite many of life’s difficulties and sufferings, He led them to Himself. Among those who made such an important decision to follow Him were those who were really young, and despite their young years, did not see the purpose of life without Christ!
Of course, these genuine testimonies left an impression upon everyone. Those who came, became a witness of the true work of extraordinary grace of God in the lives of those who were baptized, and in the life of the church!
Join us to be not only the witnesses, but also participants in the wonderful “I Choose Jesus” movement.
