Life’s Motto:
“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
God allowed us to see the great need of serving the Gospel in Europe and showed us an open door. After extensive time of prayer, thinking, research and consultations with others, our family responded to God’s call to move to Poland for a long-term ministry to the people who speak Russian, Ukrainian, and in the future, also to the locals. Why Poland? According to the general statistics, this is one of the unreached nations in Europe. Even though majority of the people are self-proclaimed Catholics, they do not know the Gospel and Christ. Less than 0.3% of people belong to churches where they can listen to the message of salvation. Out of the 2490 administrative regions of Poland in 2019, there are no Evangelical churches. At the same time, there are a few millions of people from Ukraine who need the Gospel. Clearly, the harvest is plentiful.
After serving many years as a pastor at Grace Family Church in Sacramento, at the end of January 2023, we moved with our family to strengthen the missionary church in Warsaw. In the future, we are planning to develop church plant program in Poland through personal evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual training of church leaders.
Our goal is to strengthen and grow this church as the main center for evangelism. In the future, we want to plant new churches in Poland among the Russian and Ukrainian speaking population and for the Polish people. Due to the war in Ukraine today, a few million of refugees were able to find shelter in Poland. At the time when the government and the people of Poland are doing what they can to take care of their physical needs, it is very important to give these suffering people the Gospel which can save their souls. These circumstances created a unique opportunity for ministry and are instrumental in preparing the hearts to receive the Word of God. While seeing the pain and suffering of the Ukrainian refugees, the local residents of Poland are also responding to the message of the Gospel as well.
Our ministry here includes a few important areas of development:
- Development and strengthening of a team of pastors within the church, and in the future, to form a team for planting new churches in various parts of Poland.
- Forming a culture of personal evangelism as a normal part of church life.
- Continuing and developing ministries among the refugees from Ukraine.
- Develop training in church planting with a special emphasis on training and practicing evangelism.
- Create a platform for Biblical discipleship and providing growth for ministers of various backgrounds.
- Create a Bible institute for an in-depth study and training for church leaders.
- Create a base for helping other missionary churches in various areas of ministry.
- Develop and implement the methods of strengthening relationships with other churches and have time of fellowship for pastors in Poland with a goal to cover the entire European region.
